Program Description
Children’s Book Illustrator and Author Chris Soentpiet (SOON-peet) brings his award-winning picture books to life by showing students how stories evolve from idea to finished work.

His engaging presentations can be seamlessly integrated with social studies and other curriculum areas, making them an excellent addition to classroom learning. Chris’ programs are especially popular for P.A.R.P. (Parents as Reading Partners) kick-offs.

Educators consistently praise his presentations: “Chris Soentpiet’s visit was the best author presentation we have seen in our careers. Our PARP week was a huge success, and we would highly recommend him to other schools.” – Seaman School, Jericho, NY
