Program Description
Celebrate 250 years at the Kissam House! Led by costumed educators, teachers and students will experience an engaging and interactive visit to the historic Kissam House Museum. Students will time-travel through the Federal style home once belonging to Dr. Daniel Kissam. Activities will also include hands-on exploration and discussion of historical artifacts as well as discussion of 18th century medicine and herbs. Each student will also practice their penmanship with a quill pen and will go home with a personalized whizzer, stenciled card and hand planted herb. This learning experience encourages curiosity and excitement, while bringing 250 years of history to life in a way that students will not soon forget.
