Program Description
Participants will explore the process of creating individual artwork, or work cooperatively on a permanent installation/ Legacy project for their school using clay, paint, recycled materials, and more! Students can leave their "mark" on the school with ceramic "SOLE Mates" trees, or murals; hand build "TEX-tiles" for mobiles, quilts & borders, create mosaics, pendants or decor; "SEE GREEN" with faux stained glass displays, or mobiles, designed from up-cycled plastic lenses. Individual take-home projects include wearable or decorative ceramic art, Paint Day canvas works, and much more! Legacy Projects can be customized to support and enhance curriculum, literature/books, the Arts, the study of artists, as well as educational, social, geographic, or cultural themes. Respect, cooperation, and giving back to the school/community are integral elements of the workshops.
