Program Description
Art of the Heart is a curriculum created by a New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist that provides an opportunity for children to express feelings in thoughtful and creative ways. Using art directives, participants explore mindfulness, emotional language, empathy, and kindness. With a variety of workshops to choose from, participants learn tools for effective communication, self-regulation, and social skills while gaining confidence and a sense of community. Curriculum can also be created to suit the unique needs of a particular school. Each workshop includes a caregiver summary, explaining the session and how learning can continue at home.
