Program Description
Have you ever wondered how to write a children's book and get it published? In this age-appropriate presentation, author Maria Wen Adcock will show students how to start writing a children's book, what publishers are looking for in picture books, and the different routes to publishing (traditional vs. self-publishing). Maria Wen Adcock uses her book, "It's Chinese New Year, Curious George," as an example for storytelling and illustration development. It's the perfect presentation for PARP week or month and supports writing and reading skills.
