Program Description
The Tilles Festival Band – a combined ensemble made up of the LIU Post Wind Symphony and selected high school musicians and their directors from across the New York metropolitan area – will rehearse and perform four pieces under the batons of LIU Post Director of Wind Studies Dr. James McRoy and 2025 Composer-in-Residence Randall Standridge. Repertoire will include two of Standridge's works along with two other pieces, all to be performed at the final night's concert at Tilles Center. High School Band Directors may nominate any woodwind, brass, or percussion students who are currently members of their school band program. Students must be currently in grades 9–12. There is a $30 fee for High School students that are selected to participate.
