Program Description

This interactive workshop will provide a framework for coaches and captains to discuss the qualities and skills necessary to be an effective captain. Expectations of serving in the role successfully, along with challenges that may get in the way of demonstrating effective leadership, will be discussed. Real-life case scenarios will be examined to identify critical issues and how captains are expected to respond. Both coaches and captains will gain a clear understanding of those strategies necessary to ensure that coaches and captains are working together effectively.
