Program Description
The purpose of this workshop is to educate students about Erin’s Law. Specifically, strategies for maintaining safety online will be discussed, and several of the most popular child lures will be revealed and discussed. Social media and many forms of technology have become a normal part of our every day environment. This workshop will engage students in a discussion about how they are using all forms of technology and the need to protect themselves from predators and dangerous situations. Additionally, the following child lures will be discussed: Authority Lure, Assistance Lure, Ego/Fame Lure, E-Lure, Name Lure, Games Lure, Emergency Lure, Affection Lure, Trafficking Lure and Pet Lure.
