In this workshop students will make use of the Art League’s state of the art metalsmithing studio to create copper stamped bracelets. Students will learn how to use fundamental metalsmithing tools such as pliers, sanders, soldering torches, ring mandrels, rawhide mandrels, ballpeen hammers, and flex shafts. This project offers design and skillbuilding opportunities as students will learn to solder, polish, hammer and shape, use flux, and pickle techniques. This beginner-friendly project affords students a chance to create a take home project in a professional studio setting utilizing all of the tools metalsmiths commonly use.
