Program Description

Delve into the world of monotype printmaking - the most painterly of printmaking processes. In this workshop, students will paint and transfer 1-2 artworks on printmaking paper utilizing the Art League’s state of the art printmaking studio and presses. Using the etching press, students will transfer the image on the plexi-glass. Students will be guided in transfer painting techniques to properly layer their paints. Students can work realistically or focus on design and abstraction in this workshop. Students are also encouraged to prepare sketches in advance of their idea for the workshop. No prior printmaking experience necessary.

*This workshop is not available for in school experiences.
