Drawing from the live model and basic anatomy understanding is essential for any artistic journey. During the time at the Art League, students will have the opportunity to draw from a live model in a professional studio environment. The purpose of this course is to help students obtain the basic skill of drawing the human form, including anatomy, observation of the human form and fundamental exercises in gesture, contour, outline, and tonal modeling. The main objectives for each student is understanding anatomical relationships, demonstrating understanding of tonal methods and rendering, finding the crucial relationships of the anatomy and creative compositional layouts.
