This hands on workshop is perfect for beginner ceramics students who wish to gain the fundamental skills required to handbuild vessels. Ceramics instructor Katie Rocks will lead students through all of the necessary skills to form a coil bowl, including molding, slip and score, surface design, and more. Students can get as creative as they wish with the endless combinations of patterns and designs coil setting can offer! Dress for an artful experience - studio clothes, tie hair back, and suitable shoes. This workshop will only cover forming pieces - experience is best suited for students who can fire their pieces in a kiln at school. Students should bring boxes to bring home unfired work.
*For an in school experience, please be reminded that this workshop is best suited for students who can glaze and fire their pieces in a kiln at school. The Art League will only be responsible for providing reclaim clay for this workshop.
