Program Description
Programs provides "hands on" experience with the Latin Styles of Flamenco And/Or Latin dances (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, etc.).
For Flamenco classes, the students learn to play the castanets, footwork, rhythmic hand clapping, hand & arm movements and a simple choreography for Rumba/Tangos.
For Latin Dance workshops, students can learn Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Rumba, Cumbia & Cha Cha with fun spin combinations and basic choreography. Classes can be in only one of these Latin Styles or a few steps from various styles.
The different techniques and styles of the dances are explained in context of the cultural/historical development of the dance forms. Multiple workshops and sessions on same day are $125 after initial workshop fee. Travel time of more than 1 1/2 hours may necessitate at least two classes on the same day.
