Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Release the Kraken! In this class, children will learn the tale of this legendary sea creature. They will discover that it may have been inspired by sailors’ sightings of real ocean creatures like the giant squid. Then, they will create a mixed media sculpture to bring the Kraken to life!

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
In the Creatures of the Deep class, children will embark on an exciting journey into the realm of maritime legends. They will discover the tales surrounding the mysterious Kraken, and gain a deeper understanding of cultural narratives and the real-world origins of this legend. Using a diverse range of materials, children will hone their sculpting skills and unleash their creativity as they bring the Kraken to life with a mixed-media sculpture. This program encourages curiosity, imagination and storytelling as children design their own unique Kraken creations.
