Program Description
Students experience music of traditional world cultures, learning how they relate to the Earth, Nature and the Environment. Exotic instruments from around the world create the sounds of wind, rain, thunder, whale songs, bird calls and more. Students see, hear and feel tree branches hollowed out by ants and termites in Australia, (the “Didjeridoo”), drums and rattles made from the skin, bone and hooves of deer, a giant sea shell trumpet, an African rainstick, and a “snake charmer” that calls the cobra to dance. The audience learns how to make the wild animal sounds of the Australian didijeridoo, and everyone joins in singing a traditional Native American “wolf chant.” Virtual program also available. www.journeyswithsound.com DEMO VIDEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhVJNkRL71M&t=11s
