Mission Be is a not-for-profit organization bringing mindfulness and SEL practices into schools to improve student learning and positively influence school climate.
Mission Be offers a full day and half day mindful training retreat for students (as an assembly alternative with a maximum 100 students) for students grades 9-12.
A typical mindful day includes 50 students engaged in a full day mindfulness training or two groups of 50 students in a half day training each. The students will learn how to practice mindfulness, yoga, mindful movement, mindful games, and icebreakers. Topics include: the neuroscience of stress, digital detox, empathy, and compassion.

Mindfulness practices are designed to create a positive learning environment, increase student focus, decrease bullying and create a culture of empathy, kindness and understanding. Mindfulness can improve test scores, reduce stress and anxiety, in turn increasing academic success.
