Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Our mission is to design a habitat for a Martian colony. We will explore architectural design to imagine a practical home for people living on Mars. Then, we’ll sculpt our designs to create our own 3-D models.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class introduces children to the basic principles of architecture and sculpture. They use design thinking and the IDEA design process to brainstorm, sketch, draw, and assess concepts for habitats on Mars. They use planning, sketching and sculpting techniques, and think about what needs humans living on Mars would have. This program engages children in hands-on creativity as they design and sculpt their model habitats.
