Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Frogs come in many colors and patterns. Some are
bold and some are camouflaged. Kids find out more
about amphibians, the most threatened group of
vertebrates in the world, and use a salt technique to paint speckled, watercolor frogs.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class teaches children about the different kinds of frogs that can be found in ponds, on land, and in trees. Children learn about the work of conservationist Edgardo Griffith. They learn how to draw these amphibians, and they create colorful frog paintings using watercolor paints. To add the finishing touch to their paintings, they learn a technique to create a splotchy, speckled effect with salt.
