Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Snakes are fascinating and often misunderstood
reptiles. Their skin has a unique texture, and they come in a wide range of patterns and colors. Kids learn about Romulus Whitaker, “The Snake Man of India.” He worked to protect snakes by pushing for a ban on the snakeskin trade. Children also design their own three-dimensional, patterned snakes.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class teaches children about snakes. They learn about the work of snake conservationist Romulus Whitaker and his work conserving snakes in India. Children learn about the reasons for different snake patterns and coloring in nature, and they use patterning and coloring techniques to create their own slithering snake creations.
