Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Elephants are the largest land mammals on Earth!
Kids learn about these gentle giants and the
conservationists who are working to protect them,
while using a silhouette painting technique to create elephant and tree shadows on a canvas sunset background.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class teaches children about elephants and
elephant conservation. Children learn about the
work of conservationist and animal care expert Dame Daphne Sheldrick. They learn how to draw these amazing animals. A chalk transfer technique helps them to prepare their canvases for their paintings. Their final creations feature elephant silhouettes with a sunset background.
