Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
World travel is great for mixing up new ideas. Block printing concepts from the east were brought to the west, and the art of wallpaper began in Europe. Let’s admire European wallpaper styles and then design and print our own block patterns.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class introduces children to some European history and some basic principles and techniques of block printing. They use creativity and inspiration from real wallpaper prints from England and France to brainstorm, sketch, plan, and create their own block prints. This program engages children in hands- on creativity as they plan and create their printed designs.
