Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
It’s time to turn a fantastical dream into a fantastic work of art! Let’s go to Oaxaca, Mexico and learn the story of the alebrije dream and how it unleashed a whole new art form. We’ll take our creativity to the wild side by blending fauna and flora into amazing animal sculptures.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class introduces children to the history of Mexico and some basic principles of sculpture. They use creativity and inspiration from real Mexican alebrijes to brainstorm, sketch, plan, and sculpt their own personal versions of these fantastical animals. This program engages children in hands-on creativity as they design and create their animal sculptures.
