Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Let’s look at things around us through the eyes of pop art artist Andy Warhol! In this class, kids learn about how Andy Warhol made everyday objects such as soup cans and boxes into some of the most influential artwork of the last century. Children will also create a layered painting in the style of Andy Warhol’s pop-art silkscreen prints.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class teaches children about Andy Warhol’s art styles, influences, and involvement in the Pop Art movement. Children learn to transform everyday objects into artworks. They learn how to draw these objects using basic shapes and shading techniques. Then, they will use a layered painting technique to create their own piece of pop art.
