Program Description
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy presents "art with a purpose".

SUMMARY:
Graffiti artist Keith Haring was a street artist who believed art should be accessible to all people, regardless of their race, age, and gender. In this class, kids learn about Keith Haring, his artwork, and his idea that art is for everyone. Children also create their own dancing characters and unique symbols inspired by Keith Haring’s art.

EDUCATIONAL VALUE:
This class introduces children to the art of Keith Haring, one of the most famous street artists of all time. Children learn about how Keith Haring turned public places that were previously not considered as “serious” art sites into venues with artistic and social messages. They will deepen their understanding by designing symbols inspired by Keith Haring’s art and creating pop-up dancing characters.
