Join Three-time GRAMMY Nominees, Brady and the Little Band That Could as they sing original and well-known songs about kindness, compassion, acceptance, friendship & love from their new CD release Under the Big Umbrella.
This material was inspired by their work playing and collaborating with elementary school students and teachers. Song ideas and lyrics suggested by the students included, “You Do You,“ “Different is Beautiful” and “Thank You For Being You.”
You’ll rock along to titles like, “Under the Big Umbrella” (promoting diversity & acceptance and displaying fun word play & rhyming), “Stick Up For” (anti-bullying dance anthem) and “Drop in the Bucket” (interactive sing-along about kids adding to the good deeds bucket). You’ll also sing along to the positive messages of some well-known classic like the Beatles, “Help From My Friends,” “Love Train” by the O Jays (which starts a school-wide conga line!) and “You Can Get It If You Really Want” (the reggae anthem about overcoming obstacles & never giving up).
Like all of Brady’s shows, there’s a ton of interactivity, off-the-charts energy, and happy faces singing & dancing. Each class will receive their own music beforehand (CD’s or a link to an online playlist) enhancing the concert experience by having time to become familiar with the music and the lyrical concepts. Students and teachers are encouraged to join the band onstage if they wish. Classes can also choose their own personal requests! Brady & the band might even give them a shout out from the stage.
