Students of all ages dream of becoming president of the United States one day, but few have the opportunity to sit at the resolute desk or engage in a situation room role playing experience to fully understand what it means to be president. Now you can at the White House Experience and Museum of Democracy at Long Island University. Our once-in-a-lifetime experience serves as a hub for much needed access to presidential materials for research and education, especially for future generations.
We invite K-12 and youth group field trips, research tours, executive leadership seminars, and tourism from all over the world to see Long Island’s footprint as a top destination for civic education in the Northeast.
WHAT TO KNOW Only White House Replica in the Northeast, 1 of 4 in the U.S. Life-size replica of the White House with an Oval Office, Situation Room, and Press Briefing Room Visitors can play the role of U.S. president, White House Cabinet, Press Reporters as they navigate a “crisis” The Museum of Democracy exhibit contains hundreds of artifacts from presidential politics ranging from George Washington through present day.
