The LICADD Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a comprehensive agency-school based collaborative effort designed to educate students about the current drug crisis and teach new and healthier coping skills in order to support successful learning and development. LICADD provides engaging and high energy youth-focused presentations! LICADD works to assist students in providing a safe environment in which they are free to express their feelings and concerns as they develop positive relationships with peers, adults and professionals by acquiring knowledge, skills, and attitude development leading to student success within the family and school setting. All presentations are age appropriate and follow evidence-based models. Presentations can be held in individual classes and/or as full assemblies with students, school faculty and families. All programs can be provided virtually. Workshop topics include but are not limited to: Vaping o New Trends in Drug Use The Drug Epidemic on Long Island o Marijuana and K2 o Underage/Binge Drinking o Stress Management Skills/Mindfulness o Sensitivity and Resiliency o Emotional Regulation o Life in the Digital Age, Bullying and Social Media o Healthy Decision Making/Coping Skills o Anxiety in Adolescents o LGBT Issues for Students and Staff o Transition to Middle School, High School, College
