Program Description
Children’s book illustrator/author Chris Soentpiet (SOON-peet) uses his award-winning picture books to show kids how books are made from idea to completion. His books can tie-in with the social studies curriculum. Chris’ program is a great way to kick off P.A.R.P. Teachers who have been teaching for many years commented that Chris Soentpiet’s presentation "was the best author presentation they had seen throughout their careers. We are very pleased and would highly recommend Chris to others schools. Thank you for helping our PARP week be a great success.” –SEAMAN SCHOOL, Jericho, NY 3/26/09
