Program Description
This program stresses an experiential, multi-disciplinary approach to arts education. The 20-21 program is designed to accommodate all versions of digital and in-person learning. Artistic explorations led by teaching artist, combined with encounters with great works of art are at the core of the program. Through active participation in the creative process, students learn what to look for in a performance, and to make connections to other curriculum, to their lives and to the world around them. A collaborative partnership among teachers, students, and artists, the program is a comprehensive approach to teaching and learning about the arts. Appropriate to all grade levels and disciplines, the program's flexibility enables teachers and their students to explore a wide array of arts experiences according to their particular needs and interests. Every project culminates in a visit to Tilles Center.
