Author Eleanor Turino, a former classroom teacher and School Library Media Specialist, will talk about influences that helped her create stories and characters, the editing process, how personal experience impacts writing, and talk about creating illustrations. Everyone has a story to tell; stories just need a beginning, middle and end. Eleanor will share her books, discuss fiction and nonfiction research. Grades 1-3 can create their own mini book. Participants will get to meet "Maurice the Book" and ask him a question or two.
