Suggestions to artists for improvement:
I think focusing on 1 chess piece at a time is best. Our instructor realized that early on and made the switch, which was great. Also, maybe only using and/or moving that one piece on the chess board at a time. Students were taught one or two pieces and then given them all, so some students didn't know how to set up the chess board with all the other pieces. They also hadn't learned everyone yet, so playing became tricky. Maybe an initial lesson on setting up the board, then learning piece by piece.
Please include any additional comments you care to make.
The instructor was great. He was patient and receptive to feedback. We would love to have this program come back.
